How did we go from this...? Simple. It is the toll of about a century long war on culture, education, and otherwise what i call the American way.
When a society is dumbed down, stripped from its critical thinking abilities and individuality as self sufficient human beings, and desensitized as to their moral compass, you get the type of apathetic masses that vote likes of today's progressives in to power.
