Initial unemployment claims for week ending July 7

The Department of Labor says:

In the week ending July 7, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 350,000, a decrease of 26,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 376,000.

Interesting.

The week ending July 7 was the week of Fourth of July. And, July 4th was the middle of the week.

I wondered, what was the unrevised figure from the prior week?

In the week ending June 30, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 374,000, a decrease of 14,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 388,000.

OK, what was the unrevised figure from the week before that?

In the week ending June 23, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 386,000, a decrease of 6,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 392,000.

OK, what was the unrevised figure from the week before that?

In the week ending June 16, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 387,000, a decrease of 2,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 389,000.

I should write a program to do this for me.

  1. Hocus pocus....
    And voila!
Statistics...the best friend of a progressive liberal.

Kinda like in the case of mean global temperatures that are cherry picked among 10% of all earth bound stations. Hey, who cares if half of those picked are in urban heat islands and if the totality of all data - earthbound or sattelite - do not support the apparent conclusions reached by corrupt so-called scientists!

Progressives must be shown to be the scam artists that they are!
