Table F23 (link to XLS file) provided by the U.S. Census Bureau is interesting. It can be use to generate charts that show the middle class is shrinking.
I just noticed that it can also be used to show the Democrat Impact on Family Incomes.
In 2007, just as Democrats were getting used to their dominant position in the U.S. Congress, there were about 30 million families with annual incomes less than $50,000. In 2010, there were 32.6 million families: A whopping 8.8% increase.
What happened to the number of families with annual incomes greater than $50,000? Well, I am glad you asked, it fell from 47.9 million in 2007 to 45.9 million, a 4.2% decrease.
The number of families in the $50,000 - $150,000 annual income category fell from 38.9 million to 37.4 million, and the number of families with annual incomes greater than $150,000 fell from about 9 million to 8.5 million.

Sinan:
ReplyDeletethe ill-effects of progressive policies on everything from family incomes to job creation is no surprise to any of us. The trick is to get Democrat politicians fired so that we can get back on the right track. So, what has to be done and what are the obstacles?
Here are some scary stats: 47% of filers do not pay any federal income taxes so they think they are not invested in what happens; there are 48 million people on food stamps and approximately 8 million people on disability (which is permanent once you go on it) thanks to loosened guidelines that govern admittance to the program; approximately 49% of all citizens are on some type of government assistance......on and on the list of horrific stats goes.
So, where is the incentive for these people to vote for anyone other than a Democrat who will keep their benefits intact? There is none.
Now lets look at the other side of the ledger. Majority of the 'self sufficient' people get their news from the MSM therefore are downright uninformed about what is going on. Many don't even bother to vote thinking that there is no difference between the two parties. These people must be educated. That is the key to turning this ship around. This is a slow motion car wreck that has been going on for a century and we are at or very near the breaking point.
So, fight, we must. If this shining city on the hill falls, there are no others to turn to (I mean how many people like us Cayman Islands, Switzerland, or Singapore hold?!) Even those others do not have our constitution, therefore are not long term safe bets (ok maybe Switzerland to some extent).
What I am saying is that, there is no alternative to fight like hell because our freedoms depend solely on it.
Our blogs are fine in that we do whatever little we can and every little bit helps.
I have an idea that might be worth exploring. I will send you a private e-mail once I develop it a little more. It involves us, foreign born defenders of individual liberties.
